Corona Virus Response

Dear Friends and Facilitators,

As founder of the Global Healing Response, I have created an initiative to respond to the Corona Virus.  Many of you are wondering what we can do and I believe this is the answer. This initiative is grounded in science and Spirit, which is the foundation of all we do through the Global Healing Response.

Research on intention energy, collective consciousness and quantum physics is proving we are all connected and CAN make a difference energetically. Experiments have also found that people who send out loving energy feel more peaceful and loved. What we send out comes back to us. Since stress and anxiety have a negative effect on our immune systems, this will help you and others.

I am asking everyone to form virtual or physical circles with a specific intention that is outlined below and available here. Our circles have the potential to create impactful energetic change for you, your community and the world.

Please share this message! Let’s unite to alter the trajectory of the Corona Virus.

Peace & Healing,
Ellen Bintz Meuch

Creating Virtual Circles

If your heart is beating you are contributing energy to this world. Science is proving the electromagnetic waves we each emit have an impact on the collective energy that surrounds us. And, as has been proven by the Corona virus…we are all connected.

We each make a positive or negative energetic difference in the world with our emotions, attitudes and actions. Incoherent energy is chaotic and inefficient (fear, anxiety, anger) while coherent energy is ordered and powerful (love, healing, patience). Together we can alter the momentum of the world by forming healing circles.  When we gather in circles and create collective coherent energy it has an exponential effect. An example of this is when three speakers playing the same music are pointed toward each other, the result is not 3 times the sound it is 9 times the sound.

Additionally, experiments have found that people who send out loving energy also feel more peaceful and loved. What we send out comes back to us. Since stress and anxiety have a negative effect on our immune systems, this initiative will be helpful.

As the founder of the Global Healing Response, I am challenging us to form circles of three to five people. (Feel free to choose more if that works for you.) The following suggestions are merely guidelines. The intention of coming together in circle and creating loving healing energy is the most important element of this process.

Create a Circle

· Find your circle mates
If you live with people and can have your circle in person that’s great. However, if you would like to reach out to others, distance has no effect on the ability to create coherence and energy. Virtual circles are just as powerful as “in person” circles.

· Plan your meeting times and length.
This is up to your circle. For example, do you want to meet daily for 5 minutes or semi-weekly for 30?

· Agree and understand the process, intention and commitment to the circle.

The Circle Process

· Before the circle meets, each person is responsible for centering themselves with a labyrinth, prayer, meditation or thought with whatever higher power brings them hope and love: God, Alla, Jesus Christ, Buddha, Mother Earth, for example. This is a global exercise in Unity. All faiths are honored. Entering your circle in a focused and centered state will generate the best response.

· During the meeting, each person is given the chance to express their concerns, fears, joys and gratitude. The others commit to listening. The speaker can ask for what they need in the way of support. This should be a safe space where trust develops. The goal is to form a coherent bond of peace, love and hope.

· Close with a prayer, meditation, or chant intended to send love to the universe to heal the Corona virus. My friend, Jessica Conte, wrote a beautiful closing below. Feel free to use it.

We come together in unity to send love and light to the virus, the people affected, and their loved ones.
We ask for understanding, acceptance and appreciation at a global level as well as healing.
May the power created within this circle lift the spirits of those that need it and protect us and our loved ones.
We ask for strength from our higher power and the universe for we know that we will come out of this stronger as a human race.    Jessica Conte

If each of you initiates a circle, and taps someone else to start a circle, we can grow this energy quicker than the virus will spread. I know several of you are a part of many groups so please pass this along.

Let me know if you have questions or ideas. If possible, I am willing to help you create and be part of your first circle meeting.

Thank you for all you are doing to help your community and, therefore, the world.

GHR 2020 Q1: Vision/Insight

2020 Theme: Vision

“Feet sandaled with dreams tread paths of vision leading to wisdom’s sharp peaks.” — Aberjhani (The River of Winged Dreams)

January-February-March

Focus: Insight

Quote: “Your vision will become clear only when you look into your own heart. Who looks outside dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”— Carl Jung

Picture/symbol: The Heart-where we can go to get insight into our dreams, blocks, history and future.

Prayer/Meditation:

I breath into my heart to allow the vision my soul dares to create to come forth.
I glance in the rearview mirror of my life with grace and forgiveness
—To clear the path of the wreckage of my past
—To allow my lessons learned to serve as the lampposts that light the way to the future.
I look for my blind spots
—By allowing and asking others to… show me
—By being honest with myself
I watch for the obstacles keeping me from creating my vision
—That I use as excuses
—That no longer serve me
—That I can resolve
I see
—The Hope
—The Love
—The Possibilities
I create and honor the path, more clearly, I am being called to follow.

GHR 2019 Q4: Intention/Amplify

The final quarter of 2019 brings our model together! As we have talked about, We must first calm ourselves and create coherent energy within before we can send out healing on our own or in a group. Next, when we make connections and create a circle or community we join our energy together. Then, when we come together with a unified intention, our energy is exponentially increased. An example of this in science is when three speakers are pointed toward each other. Three times the sound is not what happens—NINE times the sound is created! So, together we are MORE! And, we CAN make a difference in this hurting and confusing world.

I hope you will see the potential in this model and try it with your labyrinth in your community. I am happy to assist in any way I can be of service to you.

Peace, Ellen

Picture/Symbol: The circle

Prayer/Meditation:

Together We Are More
We have come together with a healing intention.
May each step of each walk amplify the energy we send into world.
May each turn fold into another’s turn sending spirals of love to the heavens.
May each pause be held by another within the space of time.
May the love we radiate ripple out to where there is a void and fill it.
As we walk together, we become more than our sum.
We have amplified our potential.
Our Healing is infinite.

Ideas for benefiting organization: When you plan your walk, you will probably have an intention that also is affiliated with an organization. Please donate to those organizations.

Ideas for ambiance: There aren’t extra items needed for a walk with an intention to heal a community, world, or emergency. But anything you find helpful could be added. The most important tool is to have the people walking look at each other, not down, to reinforce the connection of their circle and send the healing energy out into the world. It might be uncomfortable for some but it becomes very meaningful for many.

GHR 2019 Q3: Intention/Connection

In the first quarter of 2019 we paid attention and then we focused. Now, if we have done what we need for ourselves it is time to join together and make connections. If our individual energy is harmonious we will be stronger in our circles. This focus has a double meaning. We need to see that we are all connected-as science is proving. We also have to be intentional to make connections with others to support, heal and create loving spaces, Sacred spaces. We need this now more than ever.

Blessings and gratitude for all you do to make this world a better place.

Prayer/Meditation:

Looking into the eyes of another, may I be open to, and affirm, their true self.

As others look to me, may I have the courage to ask for what I need.

As our mutual friendship develops, may we trust, forgive and help heal each other so the energy of our circle ripples into the world.

Ideas for ambiance: Everyone carries a stone with a word that is important to them written on it. As a person passes another, they trade stones. At the end you can process about what stones they received, what it meant to them and what they ended up with. Hopefully a feeling of connection in the circle will develop and each person will feel supported and heard.

GHR 2019 Q2: Intention/Focus

Dear Facilitators,
As promised, our focus for the second quarter of 2019 is “FOCUS”! After paying “Attention” last quarter now it is time to concentrate that attention and focus on what each of us needs to align our energy, spirit and soul. Perhaps clarity will help you find a path that takes you to a better place so you can become a stronger healer and presence in the world.

As you guide labyrinth participants, it would be lovely to give them the permission, suggestion, ideas that when they make their own energy more peaceful and coherent they do, in fact, impact the world in a positive way. We can all use reminding that we make a difference!

Peace and Healing on your labyrinth journeys!

Prayer/Meditation:

A Prayer for Focus on the Labyrinth

As I enter the labyrinth I am here now.
I am mindful and in the moment. I release that which does not serve me.

As I stand in the center of the labyrinth, I realize the distractions that I feel are outside of me. The center is a place within. I put my thoughts aside for the present moment. I am willing to receive what Spirit wants me to hear.

As I walk out of the labyrinth, I feel peace and commitment to stay focused in my journey that will continue after I leave the labyrinth.

As I leave the Sacred space of the labyrinth and cross the threshold back into the world, I feel gratitude for this moment.

Ideas for benefiting organization: Is there a nonprofit organization in your community that you feel helps people find their center and their focus, a calm place for folks to find peace? Perhaps an arboretum, retreat center or park?

Ideas for ambiance: Let participants write their focus on a rock or piece of paper and carry it with them. You could even have rocks with words like “release”, “gratitude”, “trust”, “clarity” as choices. Provide lots of journaling ideas after the walk. The meditation is available as a PDF to write and give to participants.

GHR 2019 Q1: Intention/Attention

The theme for GHR 2019 is Intention. The study of the energy of intention is fascinating—the science, the possibilities and how to maximize it for healing. Using this science, I have created a three-step process that dovetails beautifully with the use of the labyrinth to create healing for ourselves, our communities and the world.

It’s often said, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” Right? Well, perhaps we can look at intention a little differently. Not as what we intend to DO but how we intend to BE— how we “set our course” each day. Science is finding that our intention is an actual energy we emit and communicate to others. Think of the light we see from a star. It may be thousands of years old, but the light still goes out into the universe and we see it. It hasn’t disappeared. So, goes our energy we put out into the world.

GHR Q1: Attention
The first quarter of 2019 we will begin our process for healing with intention by paying Attention. The quote I used for this quarter from Jonathon Lockwood Huie feels especially appropriate today, “I hold my course with focused attention and relentless commitment, as I weather the storms of life.” It is -27 here in Chicago and I know many of you in the Northern Hemisphere are suffering from sub normal temperatures today, too (and if you are somewhere warm and sunny, well…lucky you!) As Wayne Dyer says, “Our intention creates our reality.”

This might be a nice time to pay attention to what you are putting out in the world. Is it representing who you want to be? Take gentle care of yourself and find out why it doesn’t align, if that is the case. Or, celebrate your awesomeness if you are rockin’ it!
In the materials I have used The Rev. Warren Lynn’s meditation again because it is perfect for what we are beginning to do this year: Center, Connect, Send Forth Healing. And, I chose the Statue of Liberty as the symbol because she calls our attention to remember kindness, welcome and healing through all weather and storms.
As you lead walks this quarter it might be nice to ask participants to pay attention to a certain aspect of the walk (be creative!), what they are feeling (Balanced? Anxious? Peaceful? Connected?)

GHR Q2, 3 and 4
The second quarter focus will be “Focus” (not a typo 😉), the third quarter will be “Connection” and the fourth quarter will be “Amplification.” Throughout the year we will learn more about this three-step process I have created for healing.
In April I will be in Hiawatha, Iowa leading a workshop and in June I will be with the Labyrinth Summer School, too. Hope you can join us. Let me know if you would like more information. Would love to hear your thoughts and ideas.

With Hope and Healing, Ellen Bintz Meuch

Prayer/Meditation:
Before we can create an intention, we first pay attention to where we are in life. Can we execute an intention if our energy isn’t centered and strong? I am repeating Warren Lynn’s two step prayer so we can pay attention to how we each feel as we enter the labyrinth and then pay attention to how we can help others as we exit.

Walking into the labyrinth….
Walk into Lightness
The peace of All Peace be mine on this path.
Let all tumult of life’s storms within me cease.
May the weight of heavy burdens release;
The diminishing shackles upon me drop free from my soul
May True Light illuminate the habitations of my dark shadows, setting me free from all forms of suffering.

Walking out of the labyrinth…
Send Forth Healing
Envisioning what Light, Peace and Love is needed in the world beyond me,
I send empowering energy outward, beyond myself,
Into the shadows, storms and suffering all around.
By my actions, relationships and ways of being
I will participate in the greater community of healing in this world.

GHR 2018 Q4: Light/Lighten Up!

Dear Facilitators,

Let’s talk about JOY, happiness, smiles, laughter. Let’s do our friends, family and world a favor by bringing gratitude, fun (maybe even a joke?) to the table of healing! As our quote says, “Laughter is a sunbeam of the soul.” We can’t get much brighter than the sun. Let’s take a break from despair and lighten the load for each other. Might be the perfect way to end the year.

Thank you to The Rev. Warren Lynn for writing our two part meditation this quarter. Personally, I am printing the meditations on two sides of a card. The first part to be read when walking into the labyrinth (lighten your load, brighten up your own shadows) and the walk out can be used to send compassionate intentional energy out into the world for others.

I have been researching intention energy from the viewpoints of quantum physics to chakras. I believe compassionate intention amplified by a group can change the world. I have created a model for holding a Global Healing Workshop with the labyrinth that can be used for community or universal healing. Let me know if you are interested in knowing more. Hopefully I will see some of you at the Labyrinth Society meeting this weekend where I will be presenting this model and implementing it. Exciting stuff!!

Peace, Love and Joy,

Ellen

GHR 2018 Q3: Light/Shine Your Light for Others

Dear Facilitators,

As this time of year brings a warmer and brighter earth (at least for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere), let our lights shine brighter, too. As our meditation points out, we can bring our lights to the darkness and also warm those places that are cold. It may take courage (lots of courage) to illuminate the dark, but we can do it! We have the tools of the labyrinth, our community with each other and our communities where we live.

Keep your light burning glowing with lots of self care. It’s easy to “burn the candle at both ends,” as they say. One person doesn’t need to handle the burden of all the problems—Many candles make a bright light.

Thank you for all you do in the world!

Peace & Healing,

Ellen Bintz Meuch

GHR 2018 Q2: Light/See the Light in Others

Dear Facilitators,

Spring is on its way in the Northern Hemisphere. The days are becoming longer, we are having more light. Yay! Our focus for this quarter is “To See the Light in Others.”

We all know those people who light up a room just by entering it. It’s easy to see their light. But, sometimes it isn’t so easy. Especially if we have to search through differences, hurts and misunderstandings in order to see a spark. If we just remember, there is always a light.

I think it is very powerful to know that someone “Sees” you, “Sees” your light. When this happens, it can (pun intended) BRIGHTEN your day! So, let’s look for the light in others and brighten our corners of the world just a bit.

Peace & Healing,

Ellen Bintz Meuch

May we remember this and see it, even if
Life has dwindled the other’s light to a spark or
Flamed it to a warm fire that shines bright.
Either way, look for it in the other. Find it.
We all need to hear, “I see your light.”
Breath these words on their eternal embers.

Hope, Love, and Beauty of the connection of life.

GHR 2018 Q1: Light/Shine Your Light

Dear facilitators and friends,

Welcome to 2018! The theme for this year is LIGHT. We will explore letting our Light shine—and the courage that takes— and we will talk about shining our Light in a dark place —and the courage that takes, too. We will also work to see the light in others and finally, Lighten Up!

I love the meditation for this quarter that suggests we think of ourselves as lighthouses and not life boats.I often wonder if the healers of this world have been over functioning. I think we have a tendency to try to do too much of the healing for others when we might need to remember each person has a journey of their own. Perhaps we can let your Light shine so others can see your love while remaining centered and solid, like the light house that withstands many a storm. I am also reminded of the saying, “You don’t need to set yourself on fire to keep others warm.” How do you plan to let your light shine? What holds you back?

I believe Marianne Williamson is right when she says, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, nor our Darkness, that most frightens us.” What is it that keeps us from allowing our Lights to be completely lit. Many of us sang a little song when we were young….”This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine. Hide it under a bushel, NO. I’m gonna let it shine.”

As our beacons of light, shining from our hearts, bring others to the labyrinth, we can help to illuminate this cloudy world. Thank you for all you do!
