GHR 2015 Q1 Restoration/Reflection

Moon

The theme of RESTORATION for 2015 came clearly to the Veriditas Council when we met in October. It was a great collaboration of minds and it felt right. I so appreciate their generous Wisdom. And now, as the terrorist events in Paris and around the world keep our attention we must remember that our unified efforts for Healing are critical. We CAN make a difference. We can restore Peace. By focusing on Reflection (Self and World) this quarter perhaps we will find strength and creative ideas for implementing Restoration. Thank you for joining us and creating a circle of global healing with the labyrinth! —Ellen Bintz Meuch

Global Healing Resource Quarterly 2015 Theme: Restoration

“All the beauty that’s been lost before wants to find us again” ― U2

January-February-March

Focus:   Reflection

Quote: I believe that our society is merely a reflection of what is going on inside each and every one of us.—Seal

Picture/symbol: Moon (Photo by The Rev. Warren Lynn)

Color:  Purple

Prayer/Meditation:

CLEARING
Do not try to save
The whole world
Or do anything grandiose.
Instead, create
A clearing
In the dense forest
Of your life
And wait there patiently,
Until the song
That is your life
Falls into your own cupped hands
And you recognize and greet it.
Only then will you know
How to give yourself
To this world
So worthy of rescue. — Martha Postlethwaite

As you walk the labyrinth, consider reflecting on lines or words from the poem that touch your heart. Or if it’s a group walk, invite the group to read the poem out loud together or individually. —Master Labyrinth Teacher, Jo Ann Mast

Ideas for benefiting organization‎: Family Shelters in your area

Ideas for ambiance around the labyrinth: Mirrors, water

  1. Have you chosen global warming as a quarterly focus? If so, we would appreciate any supporting poetry or input. With the Paris conference coming up, we hope to host a dedicated walk in Toronto.
The GHR is a fine initiative.

  2. These quotes and prayers are just as appropriate today on this terrible aftermath of another senseless Paris attack in six different areas with 130 people killed.
Our efforts to counter act with peaceful walks are necessary now and ongoingly.

  3. I am excited to be part of the GHR. My husband and I have built a magnificent labyrinth and my intention for this labyrinth is to create a healing vibration for the planet and all creatures who inhabit it. I am thrilled to have more concrete ideas and a roadmap to follow. We have been blessed with 80 acres of what I believe to be sacred land and I offer up my labyrinth for any event that would benefit a worthy cause. Blessings to all.
