GHR 2013 Q3: Truth/Authenticity

Global Healing Resource Q3

2013 Theme: Truth

“Let us not love with words or speech
but with actions and in truth.”  I John 3:18

July-August-September

Focus:   Authenticity

Quote:  “Only the truth of who you are, if realized, will set you free.”— Eckhart Tolle

Color:  Green as in the saying, “As sure as the grass is green.” It symbolizes the truth, honesty and authenticity.

Prayer:

In this time, when even nature is confusing, may we allow the wisdom of our authentic selves to come forth and show us the way.

In order to find the authentic we must often peeling layers, opening doors, let go. May we have the courage to begin that search and honor what we find.

May we look to each other and have the wisdom to see the purpose of being that lies beyond what sometimes feels unauthentic.

May we find comfort in nature and its inability to be anything but authentic.

In the events of the days may we work with groundedness. In the events of the night may we rest with the peace of truth. And with the thoughts of eternity, may we know our connections with each other are always rooted in the center…in authenticity.

Ideas for benefiting organization: The Red Cross, for the victims of natural disasters in the recent months.

Ideas for ambiance: Rocks, grasses, real flowers, sand, dirt. All that symbolizes the ground and grounding

Music: “Homage”  by Judith Tripp. (http://www.circleway.com/products.htm) A compilation of solo flute pieces performed by Judith Tripp, recorded live at various sacred sites in England and France. Included are Judith’s musical responses to the inner circle at Stone Henge, Merlin’s Cave at Tintagel, The Chalice Well Garden and Abbey Kitchen at Glastonbury and the Crypt at Chartres Cathedral.

I hope you find them useful and have time to plan a walk or personally walk with these intentions sometime this summer. The picture is taken from my backyard and I am excited to share my labyrinth with all of you. Happy summer to those in the Northern hemisphere and I hope this bit of green brightens the day of those in the Southern hemisphere. I love being a global community!
